  Nuoro
is the capital city of the province which occupies the central part
of Sardinia. The area is mountainous and one of the best preserved,

times.

climate is mild, with average annual temperatures around 13°-14°
C (55°-57° F), moderately cold in the winter and hot in
summer, although days with milder temperatures are not unknown in
both seasons. The unstability of the weather is a characteristic
aspect of the climate and is in fact a peculiarity of the whole
island. It is due to changes caused by sudden invasions of cold
air and the influence of marine currents.
